Rojana Industrial Park and Italian-Thai
Development are joining forces to enter the promising Myanmar market
with the establishment of the Dawei Industrial Estate on a 127,000-rai
site.
Target customers include producers of auto parts, textile and garment, electronics and electrical item, rubber product, rubber and wooden furniture, plastics and construction material and equipment as well as leatherwork and seafood products.
The approaching ASEAN Economic Community has added greater flexibility to industries, so Rojana decided to keep pace with the changes and investors' needs by expanding to meet the potential of neighbouring countries.
Myanmar has gained much attention from investors, in particular the Dawei area, which is considered an important gateway linking rapid logistics systems with Western countries.
The marketing of the Dawei Industrial Estate is expected to commence by year-end while buyers can begin construction early next year, he added.
